Exeter’s Northcott Theatre is to reopen - at least in the short term - with a new company set up by the University of Exeter taking over the venue.
Exeter’s Northcott Theatre is to go dark for two months until June 25, when the venue will participate in the Exeter Summer Festival. As a result, the administrator currently running the venue will make 27 further redundancies.
Exeter Northcott theatre needs to start again “with a completely clean slate”, according to the administrator who is now in charge of the venue and is calling for the company that ran the theatre to be replaced with an entirely new body.
